We are greatly honoured to receive a visit by Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff Corporation Berhad (MCB), Yang Berusaha Encik Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib with entourage from MCB to the Belenggu Halt Landfill managed by AFES Sdn Bhd (formerly known as DHES Sdn Bhd). An overall briefing was presented by Chief Operating Officer of AFES Sdn Bhd, En Nazar bin Abdul Raof. Yang Berusaha Encik Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib then, had a walkabout to the facility and visited a few of AFES’ initiatives such as Plastic to Fuel project, Black Soldier Fly and also Leachate Treatment plant. The purpose of this visit is to get to know on the process of how waste is managed at this landfill and alternative ways of managing waste instead of it all going to the landfill.
Also present Chief Executive Officer of Alam Flora Group, YBhg Dato’ Haji Mohd Zain bin Haji Hassan, General Manager of People & Capital Resources of Alam Flora Group, En. Sahrani Kasim, Deputy General Manager of Operations, Y.M. Raja Kamal Azizol Raja Ibrahim and Pahang State Manager, En. Noorazam Effendi Muslin as well as HODs of Alam Flora Group and AFES Sdn Bhd and Service Area Managers.
